The Role
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Sales Director to lead the national strategy for our new revenue channels. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for defining the commercial strategy, driving profitable growth, and leading the teams that manage our Delivery (3rd Party Aggregator) partnerships and our B2B/Corporate Sales division.
You will be responsible for setting the long-term vision for how McDonald's expands its sales beyond the traditional restaurant counter. This role requires a strategic negotiator, an inspiring leader, and an analytical powerhouse who can navigate complex partnerships and build new business lines from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute the comprehensive national sales strategy for all non-traditional channels (Delivery, B2B, Catering, and new ventures).
- Own the P&L and growth targets for these channels, ensuring both top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.
- Delivery & 3rd Party Aggregator (3PA) Management:
- Lead the commercial relationship and national-level negotiations with our key delivery partners (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub).
- Direct the strategy for 3PA marketing, menu optimization, and commission structures to maximize market share and profitability.
- B2B & Corporate Sales Development:
- Build and lead the B2B sales division, setting the strategy for targeting corporate clients, event planners, schools, and other large organizations.
- Develop a scalable model for corporate catering and bulk ordering, overseeing the team responsible for the B2B sales pipeline.
- Team Development & Leadership:
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Sales Managers and Key Account Managers.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary sales liaison to internal leaders in Marketing, Operations, Digital, and Finance.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align national promotions with 3PA and B2B channel strategies.
- Work with Operations to ensure restaurant-level execution can support the sales strategies (e.g., high-volume catering, delivery throughput).
️ Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- 10-15+ years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or commercial strategy.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, including managing managers and owning a P&L.
- Industry Expertise (Crucial):
- Deep experience in QSR, CPG, E-commerce, or the Food Delivery (Aggregator) industry is essential.
- Proven track record of negotiating multi-million dollar, complex commercial agreements.
- Skills:
- Master Negotiator: Demonstrable experience leading high-stakes negotiations and managing strategic partnerships.
- Strategic & Analytical: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify market trends, and build a multi-year sales strategy.
- Executive Presence: Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-level executives both internally and externally.
- Franchisee-Minded: (If in a franchisee system) Understanding of how to build consensus and drive adoption within a franchise-based organization.
